Danielle Margarida

Biography

Danielle Margarida is the Youth Services Coordinator, supporting libraries in enhancing literacy and learning outcomes for Rhode Island's youth through the facilitation of ongoing professional development and the coordination of the statewide reading programs Kids Reading Across RI, the RI Children's Book Award, and the annual Summer Reading Program. She collaborates with youth-serving organizations, state agencies, and library agencies across the country, promoting resource sharing and driving professional development initiatives. Prior to joining the OLIS team in 2015 Danielle worked in youth services at Massachusetts public libraries managing various aspects of library operations, from programming and community outreach to collection development. She earned a MLIS from the University of Rhode Island and a BA from Regis College.
